How to convert a PDF to JPG

Add your PDF, choose JPG or PNG, pick the sharpness and press Convert and download. Each page is drawn to a picture by your browser. One page gives you a single image, and several pages arrive together in one ZIP file.

Which settings should I use?

  • Posting or sharing on WhatsApp: JPG at 100 or 150 dpi keeps files small.
  • Printing or zooming into small text: PNG or JPG at 220 dpi.
  • Logos, diagrams and screenshots: PNG avoids blurry edges.

Tips

  • Very high sharpness on long PDFs needs a lot of memory on phones. Convert a few pages at a time with the page box.
  • Need the pictures smaller afterwards? Use the Image Compressor.
  • Want to go back to PDF? Image to PDF joins pictures into one file.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to convert it?

No. Every page is drawn inside your browser and turned into a picture on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

Should I choose JPG or PNG?

JPG gives smaller files and suits photos and scans. PNG is sharper for text, logos and drawings but the files are larger.

What do the quality levels mean?

They set how many pixels per inch each page is drawn with. 100 is fine for screens, 150 for sharing and printing documents, and 220 for sharp text or zooming in.

I have a long PDF. Can I convert only some pages?

Yes. Type the pages, for example 1-3, 8, or leave it empty for all pages. More than one picture is delivered together in a ZIP file.

Why does the tool say my PDF cannot be read?

The file may be damaged or password protected. Password protected PDFs must be unlocked in a PDF viewer first.
