How to merge PDF files
Choose your PDF files, arrange them with the arrows, then press Merge and download. The pages of each file are copied, in order, into one new PDF. The work is done by your browser, so nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.
What it is good for
- Joining a CV, certificates and a cover letter into one application file.
- Combining scanned pages or photos that you already turned into separate PDFs.
- Putting invoices or statements for a month into a single file for your accountant.
Tips
- Check the page count before downloading. It shows the total pages of the new file.
- To remove a few unwanted pages afterwards use Remove PDF Pages, or cut the result into parts with Split PDF.
- If the combined file is too large to email, try Compress PDF.
- Have photos instead of PDFs? Use Image to PDF first.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?
No. The files are read and joined inside your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which is why it also works with private documents such as bank statements or contracts.
Is there a limit on the number or size of files?
There is no limit set by this site. The limit is your device memory. Phones usually manage a few dozen pages of normal documents easily, while very large scans may be slow.
Can I change the order of the files?
Yes. Use the up and down arrows next to each file. The first file in the list becomes the first pages of the new PDF.
Will bookmarks and links be kept?
Pages, text, images and form content are kept. Bookmarks and links that point to other pages are not carried over.
Why does it say my PDF is password protected?
A protected PDF cannot be changed here. Open it in your PDF viewer with the password, save or print an unprotected copy, then add that copy.
