How to fill in a PDF form
Add a fillable PDF and its fields appear as boxes below. Type your answers, tick the checkboxes, pick from the lists, then press Save filled form. Your answers are written into the file on your device.
Fillable or flat?
- A fillable form has real fields, so you can click and type in a normal PDF viewer. This tool works with those.
- A flat form is only a picture or printed page. It has no fields to fill here.
Next steps
- Add your signature with Sign PDF.
- Reduce the size before emailing with Compress PDF.
- Be careful with forms that hold ID numbers. Share the finished file only with the people who need it.
Frequently asked questions
Is my form uploaded?
No. The form is filled in inside your browser. Your answers and the file stay on your device. This matters for forms with ID numbers or addresses.
Why does it say there are no fillable fields?
Many PDFs are just a picture of a form, with no real fields. This tool only fills forms made with fillable fields. For a flat form, add text with a PDF editor or print it and write by hand.
What does 'Flatten' do?
Flatten turns your answers into plain page content so they can no longer be edited, and they show reliably in every viewer. Leave it off if you want to keep editing later.
Can I sign the form here too?
Fill the form first, then add your signature with the Sign PDF tool.
Some fields look wrong after filling.
Forms from some software draw fields in their own way. Open the downloaded file in a normal PDF viewer to check it, and use Flatten if a viewer shows fields differently.
